Refunds policy

Fair refunds, plainly explained.

1. 7-day money-back on first paid month

If you subscribe to Aspirant or Officer for the first time and decide within 7 calendar days that SadhanAI is not for you, email us at billing@sadhanai.ai with your registered phone number. We refund the full amount via Razorpay to the original payment method within 5–7 business days. No questions asked. This applies once per user, on your first paid subscription only.

2. After 7 days — pro-rata or full credit

After the 7-day window, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable for the current billing month. You can:

  • Cancel from inside the app (Me → Subscription → Cancel) — your access continues until the current period ends, then auto-downgrades to Free.
  • Email billing@sadhanai.ai for a credit balance to your in-app wallet, redeemable on future subscription months. Pro-rated for unused days within the current month.

3. Annual plans

Annual subscriptions (when available) are refunded pro-rata for unused full months, less a 10% admin fee, when cancelled within the first 90 days. After 90 days, annual plans are non-refundable but can be paused for up to 60 days per year (e.g., during exam-result waiting period).

4. Service-outage credits

If our service is unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours due to issues on our side (not your network, not Indian internet outages), we automatically extend your subscription by the lost duration and notify you by email. No claim is needed for credits ≤7 days; longer outages may require email confirmation.

5. Failed payments / duplicate charges

If Razorpay charged you and your subscription wasn't activated, or you see a duplicate charge, email billing@sadhanai.ai with your transaction ID (visible in your Razorpay receipt or bank statement). Duplicates are refunded within 5 business days. Failed-but-charged transactions are usually auto-resolved by Razorpay within 7 days; email us if it isn't.

6. How refunds reach you

Refunds go through Razorpay back to your original payment method:

  • UPI: 1–3 business days to your UPI app
  • Cards (credit/debit): 5–7 business days to the issuing bank
  • Net banking: 3–5 business days to the source account
  • Wallets (PhonePe, Paytm, etc.): 1–3 business days

You will receive an email from Razorpay confirming the refund. If you do not see the credit after 10 business days, send us the Razorpay refund reference number we issued and we will escalate with the bank.

7. GST and tax invoices

All Indian GST collected (CGST + SGST or IGST as applicable) is refunded along with the principal amount. We will email you a corrected GST credit note for your records, which you can use to amend your input tax credit if you claimed it.

8. What we cannot refund

  • In-app wallet credits earned via referrals or promotions (no cash equivalent)
  • Subscriptions older than the current billing month (after the 7-day window)
  • Promotional / discounted subscriptions purchased on Black Friday, Diwali, or other limited-time offers (terms specified at purchase)
  • Charges arising from your Razorpay account being compromised — these are handled by Razorpay/your bank

9. Disputes and chargebacks

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank, please contact us at billing@sadhanai.ai. Most issues are resolved within 48 hours by direct communication. Unjustified chargebacks (after we have already issued a refund or fixed an issue) may result in your account being suspended; we'd rather just talk it out.
