1. Who we are
SadhanAI is a TNPSC exam-preparation product operated from Tamil Nadu, India. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the DPDPA 2023.
2. What we collect
- Account data — your name, email, and phone number when you sign up.
- Usage data — questions you answer, time taken, accuracy. Used to personalise your study plan.
- Photo doubt content — images you upload for AI explanation. Stored 30 days then deleted.
- Tutor chat content — your messages to the AI tutor. Stored 90 days for improvement, then anonymised.
- Payment data — handled by Razorpay; we never see your card or UPI details.
- Device data — Android version, screen size, app version. For debugging.
3. What we do NOT collect
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or location.
- We do not sell your data to third parties — ever.
- We do not run third-party advertising trackers in the app.
4. How we use your data
- To run the product (show questions, grade answers, personalise plans).
- To send transactional emails (activation codes, payment receipts).
- To improve question quality and AI accuracy in anonymised aggregate form.
- To comply with Indian tax and DPDPA 2023 requirements.
5. Third-party services
We use the following processors. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Razorpay — payment processing.
- Google Firebase — authentication, push notifications, crash reports.
- Anthropic Claude / OpenAI — AI tutor and grading. Only your question text is sent; never your name or email.
- AWS — server hosting in Mumbai (ap-south-1).
6. Your rights (under DPDPA 2023)
- Access — you can request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Erasure — delete your account in-app (Me → Delete account) or via the account deletion page.
- Correction — update your account details from the app or by emailing us.
- Portability — request your data in machine-readable JSON.
Email privacy@sadhanai.ai to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children
SadhanAI is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We will notify you via email or in-app banner before any material change. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the last update.
